Seasonal Fiberglass Pool Maintenance

Necessary Equipment: Chemicals to balance water, Tele-pole, leaf net, nylon brush, vac head and hose.

Spring Opening

Prepare your pool for the swimming season.

Clean and Remove the Pool Cover

Remove any debris and carefully take off the cover.

Inspect and Clean the Pool

Check for any damage and clean thoroughly.

Refill and Balance Water Chemistry
  • Adjust the water level if needed and balance the chemicals.
Prep your Pool Equipment
  • Check all unions and O-rings.
  • Be sure all fittings are snug. and all drain plugs are back in the equipment.
  • Open valves and prime pool pump.
  • Start pool pump.

Winterizing

Protect your pool during the off-season.

Equipment Needed
  • Winterizing and balancing chemicals
  • Test plugs and one way plug to block off returns
  • “Gizmo” to plug skimmer
  • Compressed air
  • Pool cleaning equipment
Balance Water Chemistry
  • Adjust pH, alkalinity, and chlorine.
Clean your Pool

Brush, Skim and Vacuum your pool throughly.

Close the Pool
  • Add winter chemicals
  • Install oneway return plug and block off plugs
  • Install “gizmo” in the skimmer
  • Blow out inlet and return lines with air.
  • Remove filters or open all drain caps on pool equipment.
  • Cover your pool with a quality safety cover or automatic pool cover
