Dave was great to work with—he answered all of our questions and concerns thoroughly. He was a little pushy at times when it came to money, asking for additional payments at random points after we had already been told a certain amount would be sufficient. However, he ultimately worked with us, and everything worked out in the end. We went with the volcanic black fiberglass pool, which looks like a stunning navy blue when the sun hits it. We’re hoping the sun will help keep the water warm. We also chose salt water and an electric heat pump. So far, since April, everything has been working great! That said, I was a little shocked by our electric bill in May—thanks to the pool heater. Just a heads up! Although, to be fair, we did have a cold and rainy spring. Grant, the main construction guy, and his team were amazing. They handled almost all of the digging and installation work and also poured the concrete. Grant and his crew were friendly, respectful of our property, and always willing to answer questions (since they were on-site the most). They were truly the best to work with. To save money, we decided to hire our own electrician and outsourced the fence installation. That worked out okay budget-wise, though the fence company came with its own headaches. In hindsight, maybe if we had gone through Dave for that, he could’ve managed those issues for us. The pool school that came over to learn how to open the pool was just okay. We didn’t feel like we learned much—in fact, we felt more confused afterward, since it was all so new to us. They also didn’t have two of the chemicals needed to open our pool, which I think they were supposed to provide and add, so we ended up having to go buy them ourselves. The last step will be closing the pool and having our pool cover installed, which we’re confident will go smoothly. Overall, we would recommend! The work was done on time, and as you can see, our pool is beautiful. We’re looking forward to enjoying it for many, many years to come.
